Camp LIFE Alumni is Person of the Year

Camp LIFE alumni, Kristin Elliott, has been selected as Person of the Year by ABC World News Tonight with Charlie Gibson. When Kristin participated in our Camp LIFE program in 2007, little did we know that she had been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer and was literally in the fight of her life. She put all that aside to minister love and hope to the orphans of Zambia. When she returned back to the States the cancer had come back to her lungs and she needed more surgery. Make-A-Wish was contacted and Kristin had only one wish–that she could build a house inside the Family Legacy Tree of Life Children’s Village complex for the orphans of Zambia who had won her heart. This unselfish act caught the attention of the media as word spread of Kristin’s wish.

To date, she has collected more than enough money to build a home and the rest is going for a ‘Kristin’s Miracle Clinic for AIDS Patients’!  You can watch the video from ABC here.  And click here to read more about Kristin’s story.
