The houses are being built and more children are waiting for the opening of the Tree of Life Children’s Village. The only remaining obstacle that would prevent us from opening even more houses is the funds for infrastructure. Running water and electricity have to be available in order to allow kids into their new home. Please consider participating in the opening of the Tree of Life Children’s Village by contributing to the Infrastructure Campaign.
In the US we tend to forget about the basic things such as running water and electricity because we can just call a company and begin using their service. At the Tree of Life Children’s Village that is simply not an option, so we have to make the village completely self-sustained. We will be using wells and water tanks that will supply the entire village with running water. Our main tank will be able to receive 100 gallons per minute. For electricity, we will use a state of the art solar panel system to supplement the unreliable power grid in Zambia. We can avoid the extended blackouts that are experienced often throughout the country. Below you can see a breakdown of how the funds raised for infrastructure will be used.
If you would like to contribute to building this infrastructure and help us open up homes to the orphans of Zambia, you may make credit card donations at our donate page here. You may also send a check to:
Family Legacy Missions International

Remember that all donations are tax-deductible and whatever you give will go towards making “home and family” become a reality for one of the desperate orphans of Zambia. Please take the time to read about Emma in the links below. Emma will be one of the first children to move into the Tree of Life Children’s Village.
