We offer two add-on trips to Camp LIFE: Victoria Falls and the Sponsorship Trip. You will have the option of adding one, both or neither during the sign up process.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is by many measures the greatest waterfall in the world at a mile wide with a 360 foot drop. It flows from the Zambezi River on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe and boasts one of the most diverse and easily seen wildlife of any major waterfalls site.
The Zambezi Sun is a 3-star hotel located on the banks of the Zambezi River. You can sit on the porch and enjoy an African sunset as the river drops from sight about 500 yards away. The Zambezi Sun has it’s own private entrance to Mosi O Tunya National Park where you can enjoy a panoramic view from the bridge directly across from the falls or hike down to the Boiling Pot and see where all the water comes crashing down. The Zambezi Sun has two restaurants and a third at its sister hotel, The Royal Livingston, which is on the same property. You will likely encounter zebras, giraffe and monkeys as they roam freely around the property and looking out into the river you may be able to see a group of hippos bathing in the river.
The Victoria Falls Trip is an add on that is only available before you attend Camp LIFE. We will make arrangements for you to leave directly from Lusaka via bus and travel to the Zambezi Sun Hotel in Livingston, Zambia. Flights can be arranged for an additional cost by contacting our office. The cost for the Victoria Falls add on is $1000. This is a non-tax deductible expense so you will not be able to raise support for this portion of your trip.
Included in your trip is 5 nights at the Zambezi Sun, a full-day safari and a sunset cruise down the river. If you are looking for even more adventure, you can enjoy optional activities such as bungee jumping, zip-lines, microlight flying, helicopter rides, a gorge swing, afternoon tea, riverside massages, elephant rides, and souvenir shopping at your own expense.

Sponsorship Trip
Our Sponsorship Trip offers you an opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with your sponsored child! During your Sponsorship trip, you will be able to spend a day with your sponsored child, see the community where they live, meet their caretakers and most importantly, be able to tell your children how loved and treasured they are. Additionally, you will see more of the capital of Lusaka, visit more of the areas where our children come from, tour our Family Legacy offices and witness the work being done in the field. Since Zambian school schedule sometimes prevents kids from attending Camp LIFE in the summer, a Sponsorship Trip is the best way to spend quality time with your sponsored child.
The trip cost includes all your transportation and lodging. Most meals are included, but there are many restaurants nearby. Souvenir shopping and the market are located close to where you will be staying.
